Summary
During a heavy maintenance C-check at a Sydney MRO facility, a cracked main landing gear trunnion was discovered on a Qantas Boeing 737-838. The crack was detected by dye penetrant inspection. The aircraft had accumulated approximately 28,400 flight cycles. CASA and Boeing were notified immediately.
