Summary
A Robinson R22 Beta conducting dual training at Archerfield experienced a hard landing during an autorotation practice. The student applied insufficient collective at the flare, resulting in a firm contact with the runway that caused damage to the tail rotor drive shaft and skid gear. No injuries to the instructor or student.
