Summary
A Robinson R44 Raven II operating on a private scenic flight impacted rising terrain near Thredbo Village while operating in instrument meteorological conditions (IMC). The pilot held a private pilot licence with no instrument rating. The aircraft was substantially damaged; both the pilot and one passenger sustained serious injuries, one passenger sustained minor injuries.
